This program is based on a case study Peter prepared to help the participants learn how to relate marketing to capabilities, how to develop and use a SWAT analysis, how to develop a sales message and how to prepare a marketing plan.

Topics included how to properly structure your transition plan, recognize certain professional traits in the next generation, and leverage their managerial and entrepreneurial skills sets.
A panel of experts discussed how to put your transition plan into action and elevate the next generation to true leadership status.
Peter Piven will present the opening segment of "Designing for Success, " a two-part seminar that will be presented at the 2014 Design on the Delaware Conference in Philadelphia on November 12 - 14, 2014. Peter will focus on the the relationship between one's firm and the marketplace and on planning the multiple aspects of practice. Peter’s colleague, Steve Whitehorn, will follow with strategies and techniques to attain profitability.
Peter Piven was invited to speak to a caucus of Architecture school deans in Washington, D.C. on March 7, 2014. With overall responsibility for faculty, students, curricula, and fund-raising, architectural school deans are finding it imperative to be ahead of the curve regarding the client community it serves and the building industry of which it is a part. Mr. Piven presented "Architecture: What's New and Different and What's Coming?" and engaged the deans in a broader discussion of what the future may hold and how they will be affected.
